Nariño coffee comes from the southwest region of Colombia, known for complex ecological systems, particularly with many volcanos; The soil is rich with minerals.  Nariño is grown on the Andes mountains at an altitude of 2100m. In high altitudes coffee harvests develop more antioxidants and minerals.

Our friend Carolina and her brothers come from a long tradition of coffee. Her grandfather was among the founders of the town of Genoa, he helped gather all farmers in the area. She continues this tradition by consulting coffee farmers in order to develop better coffee and find buyers that appreciate their work and tradition.     

Characteristics of the coffee include a complex fruit taste with citrous acidity and rich mouthfeel. We roast it light to leave all the aromas and flavors of the coffee intact.
